D165T D265T 4-Pole LV Pole-Mounted Circuit Breaker with Digital Trip Unit

The D165T and D265T are 4-pole low-voltage pole-mounted circuit breakers designed for outdoor distribution transformer protection. With a 440V rated voltage and two available current ratings, the series provides a practical protection solution for low-voltage overhead distribution networks and pole-mounted transformer installations.

The D165T is rated at 165A, while the D265T is rated at 265A. Both versions use a four-pole configuration and air-break technology with metal arc-extinguishing partitions. The D165T provides one output and supports 25–70 mm² cable sections, while the D265T provides two outputs and supports 50–150 mm² cable sections.
 
An integrated digital trip unit allows the protection characteristics to be matched to the transformer application. The documented digital-trip configuration is intended for pole-mounted transformers with selectable protection corresponding to 50 kVA, 100 kVA and 160 kVA transformer ratings.
 
The outdoor pole-mounted construction is intended for practical installation on distribution poles. The breaker provides a compact way to combine low-voltage switching and transformer protection at the distribution point, particularly in overhead and rural power networks.

The D165T/D265T series is designed for low-voltage protection of outdoor distribution transformers. The four-pole breaker configuration provides three protected phases together with the neutral pole, making the equipment suitable for low-voltage transformer distribution applications.

The series is available in two current ratings to accommodate different distribution requirements:

  • D165T – 165A

  • D265T – 265A

Both models operate at a rated voltage of 440V and are intended for pole-mounted installation.

The digital trip unit is designed to adapt the protection characteristics of the breaker to the connected distribution transformer.

The documented configuration supports transformer protection settings for 50 kVA, 100 kVA and 160 kVA applications. The appropriate setting can be selected according to the transformer rating and the protection requirements of the installation.

This approach is particularly useful for distribution networks where transformer loading can vary and where protection needs to be coordinated with the installed transformer capacity.

The D165T/D265T circuit breakers use an air-break interruption system. The breaker contains metal partition chambers that divide and control the electrical arc during interruption.

This construction is designed for controlled interruption of low-voltage fault currents while maintaining a compact pole-mounted arrangement.

The published electrical ratings provide a 4,000A breaking capacity and 6,800A making capacity for D165T, while D265T provides 6,400A breaking capacity and 11,700A making capacity.

The D165T/D265T is designed for installation on distribution poles, making it suitable for outdoor low-voltage overhead networks.

The pole-mounted arrangement places the protective device close to the distribution transformer and can simplify equipment integration where conventional indoor low-voltage switchboards are not practical.

The technical documentation specifies pole installation and a 4-pole construction for both models.
